Haven't even been here five minutes and I'm already pimpin' while the pimpin's good. [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

I work for LO-FI, which is an entertainment magazine... no, not the kind you jerk off to.

We cover comics, movies, music, video games, anime/manga, and TOYS! Yours truly handles the action figure news/reviews and a column about customizing.

The LO-FI crew will be at the Orlando Mega Con, so keep an eye out... you won't be able to miss us, I can pretty much guarantee.

This topic is not only a shameless plug, it's also a discussion thread. Ask questions about the magazine, make suggestions about content, whatever. I'll also be adding updates periodically.

PS-- If you're a customizer, we'll be accepting pics for a custom figure gallery for issue #2. If you have a band, or are an artist, we'll be looking for new stuff for reviews and spotlights in the coming weeks. I'll keep you guys & gals posted.

Yeah, issue #1's got interviews with Brian Pulido, Eric Powell, Guillermo del Toro, and Autopilot Off. There's a great feature by the LO-FI staff about surviving comic conventions, as well as two original comics. It should be a lot of fun.

Right now we're less than a week away from going to press, so I've been going into the office nearly every day and tying up any loose ends.

Yesterday I looked over all of the hard copy print-outs and edited them by hand, so today I'm going to make revisions to the layout.

Issue #1 is going to launch at Mega Con and we'll be selling it there. We'll more than likely be at SDCC selling issue #2, and hopefully by that point you'll be able to pick up LO-FI at your local bookstore.

As far as subscriptions, I have to look into that. As soon as I have the info, I'll post it.

I'll talk with my buddies who run LO-FI and see if we can hook members here up.

It'll more than likely be for cost & shipping, which shouldn't be too bad.

As I get more info and we start establishing a list of members interested in receiving LO-FI, I'll post it in this thread.

We're in a growing period right now.

Issue #1 is 64 pgs., *FULL COLOR*.

Issue #2 will probably be 80 pgs.

Every issue will also have a theme. Issue #2 will be the urban/street/graf culture issue, with issue #3 tentatively planned as the punk issue. New sections will be added, like TV and fashion. We eventually want to be at 96 pgs. by the end of 2004 and bi-monthly.

We'll offer the same great content and focus on entertainment, as well as feature original comics... that's something that will never change.
